United Kingdom, UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools

Your school can use (available 09/24) Blippit to reduce time and effort in gathering, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the UNICEF UK's Rights Respecting School Award. There are 3 strands (A-C) in the RRSA and two potential levels of silver and gold that can be awarded. Blippit provides a unique tagging category to help a school gather, monitor, understand and report on what's happening anywhere in school, or beyond, related to their RRSA achievements.

Blippit's tags have been uniquely created with the RRSA Team for use in Blippit Boards. There is a tagging category called 'UNICEF RSSA Award' visible in the app and dashboard that matches the framework outcomes perfectly. A board can be tagged with just RRSA tags or other tags from other categories can also be added to enrich the evidence gathering and value to your school.

Silver and Gold

Choose the tags pre-fixed with 'silver:' or 'gold:' to suit the level or the RRSA that your school is applying for. Download the PDF at the bottom of this article to see and share with colleagues how the tags match the outcomes.

Tag Prefixes Explained

In Blippit Boards, every UNICEF RRSA tag for either silver or gold is prefixed to help you know which strand and outcome you're tagging. Here's a example. The tag 'silver (b6): inclusion' refers to silver level, strand B and outcome 6. There are 3 strands and each has it's own outcomes so with RRSA, we've created this simple tag prefix to make selecting, reading charts and reporting a lot easier in the dashboard and app.

  • Strand A: Teaching and learning about rights
  • Strand B: Teaching and learning through rights – ethos and relationships
  • Strand C: Teaching and learning for rights – participation, empowerment and action
