What an absolute delight it was to run a prize draw for schools that would actually have an impact directly upon children in a difficult to resource subject like music. This summer we added all schools who registered with Blippit Boards for trial into our prize draw and a couple of weeks later we picked two winners for the two prizes.
The first prize winner, Ysgol Bryn Teg, from Llanelli in Wales where they already have a peripatetic coming into teach the ukelele! The school tell us that by adding 12 brand new instruments that this will cut right down on children having to share instruments which can only be a good thing and mean more 'hands-on' for more children. We'd like to congratulate Mr Knight who originally joined the free trial resulting in the 1st prize win!
The second prize winner of the Djembi Drums was St Hardulph’s C of E Primary School in Derby. We'd like to congratulate and thank Headteacher Mrs Ellis for entering the draw and we're really pleased that a small school won this prize when resources are so highly competed for in smaller settings. Brilliant.
This was the first of our musical instrument prize draws and we did it because we believe in breaking down barriers for learning. Thank you to all schools who entered.
